    Over priced,over cooked, dried out
    Poor quality fish & chips compared to
    others. Keep your money in your pocket
    & find alternative food outlet. Once bitten

    Family fish and chipper set by the harbour. Had a lovely grilled Barramundi here, unfortunately the fish cake contained no detectable fish and the potato scallop was the oiliest thing I'd ever seen. The wait for food was almost half an hour, which goes to show how popular the place is with locals.

    Don't waste your time or money. Waited far too long for an order that was bin worthy...overcooked frozen fish, oily batter & over-priced. They used to be quite good but will not be returning...disappointing!

    At $12 for fish & chips not the cheapest you'll find but those extra dollars are well worth spending at Montis Ashore. Excellent light & crispy batter on a generous portion of fish with an adequate serve of well cooked chips. Customer service is prompt & friendly. Presented in butchers paper I would not hesitate in recommending you stop by here. Business is currently operating out of the former Chinese Restaurant building opposite the Gosford Swimming Pool, sign on Montis Ashore old shop states it's only a temporary move up the road.
